Guided by Shiseido's high ambitions, the Innovation Center includes work by world-renowned designers and architects such as Gensler, Kajima and Nendo. It was our goal to create solutions which are individually unique, yet can work together with the other designers and architects thoughts – throughout the entire innovation centre.
At Kontrapunkt I was a great part of this project. In collaboration with Shiseido we developed a visual identity and signage system for their new Global Innovation Center in Yokohama. The concept finds its roots in core elements of Shiseido's rich cultural heritage with a spark of experimentation and unconventional typographic treatments to create an identity that builds on the past and looks to the future. On the project I worked closely with designers, industrial designers and type designers. Being a part of creating everything from concept and identity to icons and wayfinding.
